What Do Our Clients Say About Us?

composer, musician, producer

Roger Miller:

I've worked at Q-Division in many different modes: playing in Mission of Burma; recording a string trio for my soundtrack to the film Traces of the Trade; producing Landon Rose's homemade bowed metal instruments CD (where we used every possible space in the studio); and producing The Bunnies wild take on a Pixies tune. Despite the extreme diversity of these projects, every time the result was top-notch, the vibe casual and fun, and the engineers pretty much as good as it gets. If this sounds like a rave review, it's because it is.

mastering engineer, producer

Jonathan Wyner:

Q division is one of the finest 'real' studios still around with all the vibe and professionalism required to bring a record to life. Q's an icon of Boston Rock... Whenever I hear a project coming from there it makes my life a better place to be!

Crit Harmon:

Here's what I like about Q Division:

  • They have great gear and they maintain it.
  • They have nice rooms that sound good and are comfortable.
  • They engineers are top notch and fast. Not only are the sounds first rate, they do a great job with documentation and keeping track of the hundreds of files I'm usually working with. (No small task.)
  • The studios are located in Davis Square so there's good food and coffee nearby.
  • The rate are very reasonable, especially considering the amount of work I can get done in relation to the time it takes in other places which might have a lower rate.
  • Great vibe. They don't act cool. (But they are.)

Eric Salt:

- Day of Recording: Few hundred bucks
- Pizza for the band and crew: 12 bucks
- Beer out of the Coke machine: 75 cents
- Standing in Studio A listening back to the tidal wave of sound levitating you into a state of pure bliss second only to your greatest orgasm: Priceless!

Dirty Harry:

I know what you're thinking. "Did he cut six solos or only five?" Well, to tell you the truth, in all this excitement I kind of lost track myself. But being as this is a Vintage VOX AC30, the most powerful combo guitar amp in the world, and would blow your head clean off, you've got to ask yourself a question: Do I feel rockin'? Well, do ya, punk?
